At GOLFWORKS we work with a global project approach. From our first ideas or concepts to the start-up and business operation, we work keeping in mind all the actors involved and conditioning factors of the project. We are aware that, in many cases, the golf course is part of a broader urban plan, so our proposal must be consistent with and integrated into it, but sustainable in itself. Only by working globally can we transform ideas into functional realities.
Every large project requires a long-lasting technical, administrative and economic process, in which the relationship between our team and the client is essential to overcome the different project phases according to the established needs. It is not just time, it is also experience to face, advise and take decisions to make the project move in the right direction.
The close relationship we maintain with our clients allows us to obtain a detailed image of what their objectives and needs are until we define a precise specification document on which to start our work, guaranteeing the technical, economic and environmental viability of the projects. Feasibility studies are key in certain projects to define the objectives and ideal needs.
Gathered all the information, we analyze the specific characteristics of the scope of action and, if necessary, develop a specific Master Plan in accordance with the needs of the client and with the environmental and urban planning conditions. One of our priorities is the respect, integration and enhancement of environmentally sensitive areas. For this reason GOLFWORKS identifies and analyzes any eventual contingencies that may appear, before the construction, thus optimizing its conception, execution and costs.
We elaborate all the documentation, plans and drawings needed for the construction in a highly detailed way, in order to guarantee adequate compliance with all technical, economic and deadline requirements. Performing as Construction Management and/or Project Management by GOLFWORKS technical staff during the construction works guarantees that the execution consistently reproduces the original conceptual design proposed, both in form and quality..
Due to our past experiences working alongside with most of the more renowned golf designers has allowed us to soak up the most varied and modern design perspectives, sensibilities and strategy concepts. This upriceble experience entitled us to apply unique ideas and solutions, adjusting them to each particular and individual needs, conferring your project its own differential personality.
Whether they are strategical and accentuated shaped courses, resort design courses and disciplined character, intelligent and natural designs masterfully fused within the environment, versatile designs with high sense of aesthetics expression, or just classical style. We respond to all these different conceptions due to our versatility, our best asset.
The golf course is a living being, which requires a meticulous careful planning even from its conception and embryo state to its adult life under an environmentally sustainable attitude.
The planning, design and further construction supervision by GOLFWORKS guarantees all the “organs” of the golf course into the course are adequate and have a long-last living. We aim to protect your investments, by reducing risks, cost-overruns and possible delays to the minimum. Those are the milestones for the project to be succeded. This also requires the whole project to be real-time monitoring, to be carried out in compliance with the scheduled plan, fullfilling all the norms and regulations and in accordance with the enviromental, quality and economical sustainability and guidelines of the design.
Our expertise, background and international experience, our passion for golf and nature, make GOLFWORKS one of the most original, reliable and responsible firms in the golf industry.
Our experience in large projects, multi-national teams and renowned designers has allowed us not only to extract the best from each one of our experiences but also create a solid and proven design methodology. This is based on three principles:
• Playability: Notable differentiation between holes, s well as a wide variety of distances, orientations, lies and a planned hazard arrangements, are the key points to maximizing the course playability. This means the course can be played by the majority of golfers on a daily basis, regardless their handicap, seeing themselves constantly challenged by the routing strategics without feeling overwhelmed by any superfluous complexity. This is a “must have” point to measure the success of a project, expressed by the users satisfaction degree.
• Visual Aesthetics: Creating a stunning setup for each hole is also quite important for the project success. The aesthetics aspects of the golf course, its environmental integration, landscaping and gardening, hazards configuration, turf contours, etc… everything must be part of a unique integral concept to maximize golf experiences.
• Details: Details matter, both the design and construction phases. Quality is measured by attending on every single detail. We engage strongly with the Club and contractor, with regular on-site visits as soon as the project begins. Allowing design to evolve, within budget and on schedule, has always been a key factor to hit it right with the details and maximizing potential and success in all our past experiences.
OUR METHODOLOGY
